Mr. Alex Thomas Pleasant was born September 23, 1941 in Mt. Juliet, TN. to his parents Charlie Pleasant and Mary Ethel Dibble Pleasant. He was educated in the public schools of Wilson County. Thomas found Christ at an early age and was a devoted family man. He was a long time employee of Weathering Bag Industry. To know him was to love him with his hugs and sweet forehead kisses.

Thomas enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time and with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Mary Pleasant. He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted long time friend Lunie Nesbit, sons, Thomas (Audra) Pleasant, Jason Johnson, James Johnson, daughters, Eleanor Latrice Whatley-Taylor and Doris Dieonna Brodie, 20 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Betty Pleasant, devoted niece Patricia Charles Pleasant, devoted nephew Charles Pleasant, a host of nieces & nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be on June 9, 2023 at All Saints Episcopal Church located at 1401 Lee Victory Parkway, Smyrna, TN 37167 from 10am to 11am with funeral services following from 11am to 12pm.  Burial will be at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna following the funeral service.
