You were one of the greats. One that no matter what was happening you could always see the sunshine through the rain and clouds. You taught me to laugh at myself which I still sometimes struggle with. Your eyes, smile and laughter were not only soul penetrating they could change the atmosphere in any room you stepped in. Your presence was always known, but your spirit was so soft. You were like a big sister to me in many ways. The news of your passing pierced me to my core, and I'm still in shock, to me you were the cat with 9 lives because no matter how many obstacles you had in your life, you overcame them all. You were my cousin and my dear, dear friend. You loved to sing and had the talent like most of our family. I loved to hear you sing. I will always remember all of our shenanigan's and hold them close. My heart and prayers go out to your sweet hubby Karl! Shine on you beautiful soul! Until next time Alissa!!!
Husband Karl says:
Alissa,
I'm the luckiest guy in the world to have been so close to you for 21 years. I don't know how to carry on without hearing your voice or seeing your smile. We had so much more to do, but now I'll have to be content with remembering all of the days that you were by my side. It's impossible to explain how much i will miss you
I will always love you,
Karl
