Aliza Danial Asomo Kmeen, born on January 1, 1965, in the heart of South Sudan, embarked on her eternal journey on October 2, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering strength. The daughter of Danial Asomo Kmeen and Mary Bodue Shoku, Aliza's life was a testament to the enduring power of family and community.
From her early years in South Sudan, Aliza displayed a zest for life that was contagious. She carried the rich traditions and vibrant culture of her homeland with her, infusing her life and those around her with warmth and compassion. Her journey took her far beyond the borders of her birthplace, but she remained rooted in the values instilled in her by her beloved parents.
Aliza was a devoted mother, bringing into the world children who would become her most cherished treasures. She is survived by her loving children: Quesma, Frdos, Clement, Flora, Huda, Adeba, Daniel, RAdia, and Sarah. Each child, a beacon of her light, carries forward her legacy of kindness and tenacity. She was further blessed with 23 grandchildren, with two more eagerly awaited, each of whom will grow up with stories of their grandmother's indomitable spirit.
.Visitation will be October 18 from 10am to 1pm at All Saints Episcopal Church in Smyrna and on October 19 from 9am to 11am with funeral service starting at 11am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 521 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206. Burial will be at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna, TN.
