Benny Erwin Livingston born June 15, 1932 in Merigold, MS, passed from this life at 91 years of age November 13, 2023.

Benny moved to Greenville MS on Wilcox Rd at about 10 years of age. He enjoyed playing fast pitch ball as well as other sports in high school.  Benny learned a good work ethic working  on his daddy's farm growing up.   After graduating  high school Benny  went to Lipscomb University for one semester in Nashville.  Deciding college life wasn't for him at the time,  he came back to Greenville and  helped on the farm and played fast pitch ball. When  his daddy sold farm they moved into the town Greenville, MS. Soon he was drafted into to service. Benny trained at Fort Chaffee AR and was sent to Germany.  He served about 2 years and  returned to Greenville MS. He went to work for Greenville Compress where cotton was stored after coming from the gin. He worked there 37 years. He and wife Carolyn were married July 21, 1961 and were married 62 years.  Together they had a  daughter Lisa Livingston Mitchell and son Todd Livingston. Benny and Carlolyn have four grandchildren and two great grand children. In 1997 he and his wife moved to TN on Halloween. They lived in Murfreesboro until December of 2014 and then moved to Smyrna TN.

Visitation will be held at Simple Cremation and Funeral Services from 5pm to 6:30pm November 20, 2023.

Burial service at the graveside will be November 21, 2023 at Lake View Gardens, in Greenville MS at 2:00 pm.
