Danny Wayne Tackett passed away January 14, 2022 in Murfreesboro, TN.  He was born in Huntington, IN on February 18, 1969 to Rancey Tackett and Lola Parker.

Danny leaves behind three children  Desirae, Courtney and Danny, his ex-wife Carrie, his sister Laura, and  nieces:  Karrie, Kristina, Koreana, and Kassondra.

In honor of Danny Wayne Tackett I, my father and namesake, My father went my many names Danny, DT, Dad, Cooly T, but regardless of what he was being called He was only ever one person, himself.  In one of our talks he'd said that he never truly knew his father, luckily this is a regret I do not share.  I could never know everything, but I can know who he was to me.  Someone confident enough to do anything and stubborn enough to make that a reality.  Be it good or bad, I can say that I knew Dad and that he will never be forgotten.  We love you.

Danny Wayne Tackett father, son, and friend for those who had the chance to know him could see his capacity for life, his  longing for connection masked by stubbornness and outburst of passion.  Danny had one way of doing things and that was "his" way.  We missed the chance to truly know you, but you were always on our minds and hearts.
