Debbie Averitt was a lifetime resident of Smyrna Tennessee. She enjoyed decorating, cleaning, crafting, time with family and dinners out. She was very passionate about feeding the wildlife and the stray cats in her area. She was by far one of the best shopping buddies. She made sure to text her kids every morning with a variety of "Good Morning, I love you 😘" poems. She was loved unconditionally and will be missed so dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Red Pennington; mother, Thelma Jean Pennington; brother, Donald Ray Pennington; sister, Faye Marie Brewer and grandson, Jasper Anthony Holt.

She is survived by husband James Averitt; son, Philip Brewer; daughters, Twyla Thompson, Natasha Brewer, Tina Brewer; grandson, Douglas Thompson and granddaughter, Jazlyn Birckbichler.
