Gale was a sweet lady on the inside and out. She was strong and never complained. She loved her family dearly, and when you needed her she was always there. Cooking was her passion; the best soul food ever hands down. She loved her puzzle books and watching judge Judy. Her siblings and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a queen who love God. To know her was to love her.

Gale was preceded in death by her mother Jennie Viola Davis; father John Smothers; sisters Loretta Ernestine, Sharon Carolyn; brothers Dave Davis and John Thomas Smothers.

She leaves to cherish her sister Joanne Davis; sons Gary Smothers and Donald Demonbruen; grandchildren Dominique ,Sabrina, Evan ,Kambrea, Ethan, Kevonte, Gamari, Jayla; great grandson Sol Anderson; devoted nephew Jerry Jefferson; devoted nieces Kathy Davis and Loretta Owens , and  host of nieces and nephews and devoted family and friends.
