Glenn Tyrone
Mcdonald
August 31, 1966 – December 30, 2023
Glenn T. "Bubba" McDonald carried in the arms of the Angels through Heaven's Gate on December 30, 2023.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Sandra McDonald and brother, Stevie McDonald.
The kind, free-spirited, Harley Davidson riding, drum playing, loving man that he was is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Kim Sterling McDonald; Children, Jonathan McDonald, Nick Franklin (Ashley), Kristin Miller and Brandon Franklin; Sister, Lisa Duke; Grandchildren, Asher McDonald, Paxton Franklin, Arielle Franklin, Evangeline Franklin, Penelope Franklin, Aaron Hunt, Austin Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Skylar Miller, Tyler Miller, and Lucas Miller, Niece; Mallaurie Donahue (Logan) and Great Niece; Josie Donahue.
He graduated from Glencliff High School. He worked for Terry's Service Center as a chief mechanic and service manager for many years. He also helped his wife with her real estate ventures.
All people die, but not all people "live". Bubba (as he was affectionately known by all) lived! He lived life to the fullest every second of every minute of every single day. He was most happy being surrounded by his family and grandchildren and was the best Poppy a child could ever dream of having. He absolutely loved to hang out with his friends playing cornhole, loved music, loved singing and loved playing the drums every chance he could. He could fix almost anything that was broken – from carpentry to turning wrenches.
Bubba's sweet and kind soul, his witty character and big smile will certainly be missed by all that had the honor to know him. They say a man's wealth can be measured by the number of friends he has. If this is true, Glenn "Bubba" McDonald passed from this earthly life with more wealth than "all the gold in California".
Bubba's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Springhouse Worship & Arts Center, 14119 Old Nashville Hwy, Smyrna, TN 37167. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 pm. Flower contributions can be delivered to the church on Saturday morning ONLY, January 13.
