Gregory Allen Firestone, or as his loved ones affectionately called him, "Greg," set sail on his final voyage on December 3, 2023, at the age of 51 in LaVergne, Tennessee. Born on December 22, 1971, in LaGrange, Indiana, Greg's adventurous spirit took him on many exciting journeys throughout his life.
Greg was a true gem, known for his kind heart, generous nature, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He had a knack for making people laugh, and his compassionate soul touched the lives of everyone he met. Greg was the life of the party, always up for an exciting escapade and never shying away from a good adventure.
When he wasn't busy exploring the world, Greg found solace in his beloved hobbies. He was a history buff with a reel passion for fishing and boating. He could spend hours on the water, casting his line and reeling in stories to share with his loved ones.
In the professional realm, Greg was a true craftsman. For over 25 years, he dedicated his talent and expertise to Gann's Cabinets, leaving a mark of excellence in every piece he created. His attention to detail and commitment to his craft were unmatched.
Greg's family meant the world to him, and he cherished his role as a son, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his adoring mother, Carol (Myers) Herzog, his father Ronald Firestone (Sue), his brother Rob Firestone (Jennifer), Step brothers
Shane Herzog Brian Herzog Shawn Herzog and his children Heather Davis (Scott), Rachel Roubique (Howard), and Jonathan Payne (Stephanie). Greg's legacy lives on through his beloved grandchildren, Eli'sha Gilbert, Jordan Waggoner, Israel Roubique, and Akasha Payne.
Greg was preceded in his final journey by his grandparents, Roger and Ida Mae Firestone, and Carl and Mary Frances Myers . Stepfather Frank Herzog
To honor Greg's memory and celebrate his vibrant life, a playful and uplifting memorial and balloon release ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 16th, at 1 pm at the Stewart Creek Boat Ramp in Smyrna. Join us as we bid farewell and share stories that will make our hearts smile.
Gregory Allen Firestone will forever be remembered for his contagious laughter, his zest for life, and his ability to sprinkle joy into every moment. Though he has passed on, his spirit will forever dance in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Greg, may your journey be filled with eternal sunshine and laughter that echoes through the heavens .
