James Lloyd Chapman, known by "Jim" to his family and friends, passed away November 22, 2022 at 69 years of age. He was born in Knoxville, TN June 25, 1953.
Jim was known to be a an avid deer and duck hunter and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a loyal lifetime Tennessee Vols fan. Although Jim didn't smile much (He said he wasn't going around smiling like an idiot!) he was a charismatic and outgoing family man who was benevolent and loyal to friends, family and his local #572 Pipefitters Union.
Jim had a saying, "I am a legend in my own mind." He is a legend in the mind of his friends and family and will be sorely missed.
Jim was preceded in death my his father Robert A. Chapman; Mother, Alice Louise Carr and brother, Robert R. Chapman.
Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years Marilyn Chapman; sons, Mitchell L. Chapman, Robert P. Chapman, Michael Timmons; daughter Erica Jo King; brother Charles L. Chapman; mother-in-law, Essie Scales; brother-in-law Jimmy Walker; sister-in-law Vicki Zelekna ( Emmitt) grandchildren, Kailee Timmons, Kinsley Timmons, Alexander C. Chapman, Ethan King, and Emmie King.
