La Vergne, Tennessee resident James Shannon Lawrence, Jr. died April 19, 2022. Mr. Lawrence was born June 2, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee, son of James Shannon Lawrence, Sr. "Jimmy "and Mary Monica Dortch Lawrence. He retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of General Services, as the Audit Director.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean "Jeannie," brother, David  (Emily) Lawrence, niece, Angela Vincent, great niece, Valerie Vincent, and cousin-in-law, Mary Lawrence.
