Obituary

Jason Scott Callaham, 48 years old, of Nolensville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Jason was born on October 27, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Linda & Benny Callaham. Jason spent most of his life in Fort Worth. He proudly worked as a carpenter and later transitioned to HVAC. Jason was known for his high work ethics, quality work, craftsmanship, and was the hardest working man on the job.

Jason was also known to his many friends as "Rev," because he was always preaching to everyone. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite things to do were cooking, hunting, woodwork, enjoying nature, reading the bible and attending church. Jason was passionate about music and Jimi Hendrix was his favorite musician and guitarist. Also, Jason was an animal lover and all animals loved him. He also had a great love of nature and all the Lord's creatures.

His greatest joys in life were his two sons, his daughter and his granddaughter. His sister, Kelly, was one of his best friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jason's passing will leave a small hole in the hearts of all his loved one's.

Jason struggled often in his life with internal conflicts that he battled with on a daily basis. But the last couple years of his life Jason found God and began winning the battle over his struggles. It sounds a little clique, but it is true. He was finally finding peace and was changing his life for the better. Jason was very active in LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN. He studied the bible regularly, attended church on Sundays and small church groups during the week. Jason volunteered at his church and many of his church family members said he had a "servant's heart."

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Callaham; stepmother, Judy Callaham; grandmother, Loretta McIntosh; grandfather, Cecil Callaham; grandmother Betty Holden; grandfather, R.W. Holden; and brother, Robert Case.

Survivors: Father, Benny Callaham; son, Kevin McCurdy and daughter-in-law, Taylor; son, Eric McCurdy and daughter-in-law, Catherine; daughter, Haley Callaham; sister, Kelly Rippetoe and brother-in-law, Doug; brother, Roger Case and sister-in-law, Camille; and granddaughter, Ashley McCurdy; aunt, Becky Griffin and husband, Mickey; uncle Robert Wilson; aunt Cindy McIntosh; and aunt Gail.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for all Jason's loved ones to come together in honor of his memory.

"A Cardinal is representative of a loved one who has passed. When you see one, it means they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss. They also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you they will always be with you. Look for them and they will appear."
