Jerry Wayne Hill

Jerry Wayne Hill, 69, a native of Middle Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, in Murfreesboro, Tn at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend! Born on June 1st 1957, to Joe Council Hill & Minnie Hill in Smyrna, TN. Jerry worked as a maintenance man and loved his work of keeping families happy, but nothing in this world compared to the love he had for his grandchildren. Jerry also enjoyed going out to the lake, sitting in the sun and listening to music! Preceded in death by his late wife Diane Hill, Father, Joe Council Hill, his mother, Minnie Hill, his brothers Joe Hill and Ernie Hill, his sisters Linda Thompson & Gayle Koffman. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Hill, fiance Kevin Sisco and his grandchildren, McKayla Capps, Carter Najar and Kayle Capps! His grandchildren were the center of his whole world. They were his greatest joy, his biggest source of pride, and the reason behind so many of his smiles. Being their Papaw wasn’t just a title to Jerry; it was one of the most important parts of who he was. Jerry also had many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. A celebration of Life will be planned at a later date!
