Jerry Lee Sherwood, age 75, of Hartsville Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 14th, 2024, at the American House Memory Care in Lebanon, TN. He was born June 21st, 1948, in St. John, MI.

Jerry served his country faithfully in the United States Navy and was very proud of being a Golden Shellback when he appeared at the equator on the USS Hunley in 1971. He also received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal in 1972. Jerry graduated from Ovid Elsie Highschool, class of 1967. He retired from General Motors in Lansing, MI after 30 years of service.  Jerry was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, and accomplished woodworking craftsman.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Rhonda Lynn Sherwood (Lewis). He is also survived by his children; Christopher (Mary) Sherwood of St. Johns, MI, and Carrie (David) Arkle of Hartsville TN, Grandchildren; Samuel Sherwood, Noah Sherwood, Jackson Arkle, and Marin Arkle; many Nieces, Nephews, and dear Friends.

Jerry is predeceased by both parents, Samuel and Nellie Sherwood; brothers, Robert and Walter Sherwood, as well as his twin sister, Jane Wilson.

No services are scheduled at this time, but a celebration of life to be determined at a future date, and to be held in his beloved state of Michigan.
