In Loving Memory of John Kenneth Davis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Kenneth Davis, of Smyrna, Tennessee, on June 23, 2026. John was born on November 16, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

John's greatest passion in life was music. He loved singing, traveling, his church family, and most importantly, his family. Throughout his life, he was blessed with many titles, but the ones he treasured most were son, brother, dad, uncle, and the beloved "Papa Florida."

John was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Davis Sr. and Georgia Louise Cooms Davis; his brothers, Dennis Davis and George Davis; and his sister, Deborah Lewis.

He is survived by his siblings, Edgar Davis, Robert Davis, Marlene Storino, Darlene Schafer, Betty Ryan (Gary), and Yvonne Shook (Rick). He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as his lifelong best friend, Howard Robinson.

John is lovingly remembered by his children, Joshua Davis and Kristi Burgess (Rafael).

He was a proud grandfather to Sage Davis, Kai Davis, Kameron Davis, Dylan Davis, Madalynn Davis, McKaila Davis, Sierra Davis, and Adriana Davis.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Elijah Moye, EmmaRose Moye, Emiliana Storey, Jai'len Wright, Jai'lani Wright, Aubrey Davis, and Alleah Davis.

John's kindness, faith, love of music, and devotion to family touched the lives of all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
