It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Hurtado Espinoza, who left this world too soon on December 12, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on August 3, 1993, in Nashville, Tennessee, Jonathan was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him. He grew up surrounded by love and support from his parents, Eduardo Hurtado and Maricela Hurtado, and was deeply cherished by his family and friends.
Jonathan's life was marked by a loving spirit and a dedication to his family. He is remembered for his boundless enthusiasm and loyalty, traits that made him a beloved son, brother, and friend. He is preceded in death by grandparents Miguel Espinoza , Rosa Cortez, Celia Melgoza y Emilio Hurtado and brother Antuan Hurtado Espinoza, who he missed dearly. He is survived by both parents Eduardo and Maricela Hurtado. Sister Jessica Baity, brother Ivan Hurtado Espinoza. Nephews Treyvion and Marco Baity. Niece Nevaya. Brother in law Lee Baity and Sister in law Hannah Espinoza and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Jonathan was a proud graduate of Cane Ridge High School, where he formed friendships that would last a lifetime. While his career path was still unfolding, his commitment to his work family was evident, as he placed great importance on building relationships and supporting those around him.
Beyond his professional aspirations, Jonathan had a vibrant personal life filled with hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He was an avid fan of anime and spent countless hours immersed in his favorite shows and games on Xbox. A true sports enthusiast, Jonathan loved playing frisbee golf and soccer, but his greatest passion was basketball. He admired the legendary Kobe Bryant, whose dedication to the game inspired Jonathan's own love for sports.
Jonathan was very tender and affectionate, giving the best of hugs and possessing a contagious laughter and smile. He was not braggadocios, but very humble. His warmth and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He brought people together, sharing laughter and creating unforgettable memories. His family and friends will forever treasure the moments spent with him—whether it was enjoying a friendly game of frisbee golf in the park or discussing the latest anime episodes.
A funeral service will be held in Jonathan's honor on December 17, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 3112 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN, starting at 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Jonathan's life, share stories, and honor his legacy. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Jonathan for the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared so freely. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched, reminding us all to cherish every moment and honor our connections with each other. Rest in peace, dear Jonathan—you will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. It leaves us with a great void.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio funerario en honor a Jonathan el 17 de diciembre de 2024 en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, ubicada en 3112 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN, a partir de las 12:00 p.m. Se invita a familiares y amigos a reunirse para celebrar la vida de Jonathan, compartir historias y honrar su legado. El velatorio comenzará a las 10:00 am.
