With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jonathan Lee Sanders, who left this world on October 21, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on August 20, 1974, in Madison, Tennessee, Jonathan was a vibrant soul whose spirit embodied the essence of adventure and kindness.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Edward Sanders, whose memory will forever be cherished by those who knew them both. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert Lee Sanders and Anna Sue Roach, along with her husband, Stephen Roach. Jonathan also leaves behind his brother, Stephen Roach III, and his sisters, Lisa Foxworth and Lori Bowen. He was a cherished uncle to his nephew, Robert Sanders Jr., and will be deeply missed by numerous other beloved family members and friends.

Throughout his life, Jonathan exemplified kindness and compassion, often lending a helping hand to complete strangers. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, making friends wherever he went. His adventurous spirit drove him to embark on spontaneous journeys, traveling to all corners of the country, where each destination held a story waiting to be discovered. Jonathan had a passion for restoring classic cars, pouring his heart and soul into each project, and finding joy in the process.

A funeral service will be held on October 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1401 Lee Victory Parkway, Smyrna, TN 37167,  where family and close friends will gather to celebrate Jonathan's life and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Visitation is from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In this time of grief, we honor his memory by remembering the joy he brought into our lives and the countless moments of laughter shared.

Jonathan Lee Sanders will be remembered not just for the adventures he embarked on, but for the love he imparted to everyone around him. His legacy will live on through the kindness he spread and the memories he created. May he rest in peace, forever free and forever loved.
