Joseph Wayne Oatsvall, 17, of Franklin, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 30th 2024, due to an unfortunate drowning accident.

Joseph was born in Uganda, Africa in 2006. Joseph was adopted into his forever family by Scott and Gwen Oatsvall in June of 2010 at the age of three. Joseph was well loved by his family, friends, community, and everyone who met him. He was involved in the The Deaf Church at Brentwood Baptist, youth group, and deaf camp and completed his junior year at the Tennessee School for the Deaf. He was active in serving his community through his family's ministry, 147 Team. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing football, wrestling, cheering on his brother's college football teams, and was a huge fan of Alabama football and the Kansas City Chiefs. His favorite thing to do was go to the beach with his family and swim in the ocean.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Scott and Gwen, siblings, Jeremiah (Maeve), Elijah, Emily, Maggie, and Daisy. He is also survived by many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who felt like family.

Visitation will take place on July 5, 2024, from 12:30-2 p.m., at Brentwood Baptist Church (7777 Concord Road, Brentwood, TN 37027). A celebration of life service will be held at the same location at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to 147 Team at www.147team.org
