Joy Stinson, 67, passed away after a long illness on June 23, 2024. She was a kind and generous soul who went out of her way to help anyone in need.  Originally a resident of Hueytown, Alabama, she taught school briefly in south Alabama, before moving to Nashville, Tennessee in the early '80s. She retired after 30 years with the State of Tennessee in 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lucille Beverly, and by her brother Larry Beverly. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, sisters Gloria Cole and Ernestine Beverly, and many nieces and nephews.
