Katherine Racheal
Widner
November 6, 1979 – March 13, 2023
Katherine Racheal Widner passed from this life on March 13, 2023. She was born on November 6, 1979 in Mobile, Alabama to Duane Widner and Mary Brzowski.
She is preceded in death by her father, Duane Widner, who passed away in 1992.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Brzowsk; step-father, David Vied; step-mother, Pat Widner; siblings, Valerie Vied, Trenton Widner, Gerald (Aimee) Widner; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and daughters, LeeAnn Widner, Savannah Boyd, Faith Boyd, and Bailey Boyd.
You may have known Katherine by Kat, Kathy, Momma Kat, Momma Boyd, Momma K, Seester, or Kitty Kat. To know her was to love her… or have very strong feelings about her. She deeply touched all the souls she allowed into her life, and the room in her heart for them was infinite.
As a mother, Kathy was understanding, nurturing, and supportive. She was always there to listen, to offer advice, and to offer a warm embrace, not only to her daughters, but also to all of the children she treated as her own. Her daughters will always remember her as a loving and devoted mother who did everything in her power to ensure their safety and happiness.
The loss of Kathy is a devastating blow to her family and friends. Her passing is a reminder that life is fleeting and that we must cherish every moment we have with those we love. She will be deeply missed but her memory and her quirks will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched. And we hope that all those who are deeply and profoundly affected by her untimely passing, but especially her daughters, can find comfort in the knowledge that Kathy's legacy will live on through them, and that she will always be with them in spirit.
Katherine passed away after complications following open heart surgery to correct a genetic heart disease. She was kept comfortable and passed with friends and family at her side.
