Malcolm Stetson Fleming, 78, of Smyrna, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 5pm CST in Smyrna, TN at Smyrna Activity Center.

Malcolm was born October 9, 1945, son of the late Ernest Fortson Fleming, Jr. and Mary Eleanor (Anderson) Fleming. Malcolm married Sheila Jo Littleton on June 22, 1972. Gunnery Sergeant Malcolm Fleming retired from the United States Marine Corp after 22.5 years of service. Malcolm loved family and the outdoors. Malcolm enjoyed making other people smile with his jokes, gifts, and acts of service.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Littleton Fleming; his son, Malcolm Jason Fleming (of Lakeland, TN); daughter-in-law, Leslie Johnson Fleming (of Lakeland, TN); granddaughter, Avery Lauren Fleming (of Lakeland, TN); his daughter, Leigh Miles Fleming (of Indialantic, FL); his brother, Ernest Fortson Fleming, III (of Warrenton, N.C.), and his sister, Valerie Fleming McDougal (of Atlanta, GA).

He was preceded in death by two of his sisters, Lallie Fleming and Mary Jane (Fleming) Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Smyrna Activity Center or Alive Hospice.
