Marcie Jo Morey, born on April 3, 1981 in Gouverneur, New York, passed away on July 31, 2026. Her life, filled with warmth, kindness, and devotion to family and friends, leaves an enduring legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
Marcie grew up in Gouverneur, establishing strong roots in the community that nurtured her from childhood into adulthood. Throughout her journey, Marcie demonstrated a deep sense of compassion and loyalty. She cherished each relationship she cultivated, always offering her support, encouragement, and understanding to those around her.
She is deeply mourned by her loving mother, Donna Morey, who shared with Marcie a bond of immeasurable strength and love. Marcie was a devoted sister to Allison Hammonds and Melissa Joyner, and to her brother, Michael Morey. The ties between siblings were marked by devotion, joy, and shared memories that will live on. She was also connected to her sister-in-law, Mandy, and her brother-in-law, Paige. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Marcie’s legacy continues through her beloved daughters, Brianna Vaughn and Olivia Vaughn. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy; her grandchildren, Askari Vaughn and Akira Vaughn.
Marcie’s circle of friends and extended family enriched her life further. She is remembered lovingly by her fiancé, Danny Clem, Tiffany Mcmurry, Brittany Clem and their children, and many others whose lives were brightened by her presence. She held close bonds with Richard and Juan, spouses of family and friends, who appreciated her welcoming and accepting nature.
In her passing, Marcie joins her late father, Francis Morey, and her brother-in-law, Brandon Joyner, both of whom she loved dearly and whose memories she treasured.
Marcie’s life was marked by quiet strength and unwavering support for those she loved. She will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her gracious spirit. Each memory shared, every story told, keeps the light of her life shining bright for generations to come.
As a final and lasting gift, Marcie became and organ and tissue donor, giving the gift of life to others.
