With deep and tender hearts, we remember and celebrate the  life of Martha Dail, who departed this world on July 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, and love. Born on November 4, 1946, in Drew, Mississippi she migrated to Chicago.  Her journey spanned eight vibrant decades—a tapestry woven with moments of joy, challenge, strength, and immeasurable grace.

Martha was shaped by her family, the daughter of Clarence Bramlett Sr and Lillian Dye Harris. The values of kinship and compassion she absorbed would echo throughout her life. Her laughter, steady hand, and discerning wisdom formed the center around which her family gathered—and in her presence, all felt at home.

She cherished her beloved husband, Hazakiah Dail, and together they faced life’s seasons, their partnership a testament to enduring commitment and trust. Though Hazakiah has preceded her in death, as have her dear son Michael Bramlett and grandson Christopher Cunningham, their memory forever flickers in the candle-lit corners of Martha’s heart.

Martha’s love knew no bounds, extending to her children—Herbert Cunningham, Deborah Cunningham, Marie Cunningham, and Sabrina Dail and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  To each of them, she imparted lessons of  kindness, and perseverance, shaping their lives with her gentle guidance and openheartedness. The family she created and tended is a living legacy, resilient and strong, bound by the love she so freely gave.

Her spirit also touched her siblings: surviving brothers E.V. Bramlett and David McAdory; her sisters Shirley McAdory, Verria Harris, Patricia Jones, and Ruby Davis; her brother-in-law Frank Monigan; and sister-in-law Valeria Bramlett. Each relationship, whether near or far, was held with earnest devotion. She walked alongside those who have gone before: her brothers Clarence Jr, Jimmy, Tommie, and Edgar Bramlett, and her sisters Florine Monigan, Hardies Lakes, and Kathy Faye Bramlett—a host of souls with whom she now reunites.

To those who knew Martha, her life was an open book—each chapter brimming with warmth, laughter, loyalty, and the quiet dignity of one who understood the power of small kindnesses and great sacrifice. Friends and extended family recall her generosity in times of plenty, and her unyielding support in times of need. Her wisdom was a balm, her presence a source of constant comfort.

As we mourn Martha’s passing, we gather to honor her remarkable journey. A visitation will take place at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1401 Lee Victory Parkway, Smyrna, TN 37167, on July 25, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Within these hallowed walls, those whose lives she touched—family, friends, and all who loved her—will share memories, tears, and gratitude for a life so well lived.

Martha Dail embraced every moment with courage and grace, shaping the world around her with light and hope. Though she is gone from our sight, her love endures—in stories passed down, in laughter shared, in every gentle touch and generous word. Her legacy is carried onward by those whose lives she forever changed, echoing into tomorrow and beyond.
