Michael Douglas
Joines
January 26, 1968 – September 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Douglas Joines, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on September 9, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on January 26, 1968, in Nashville, TN, Michael was a vibrant soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered.
Michael was the cherished son of Malcolm Douglas Joines and the late Norma Jean Joines. He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. He is survived by his devoted father Malcolm, his brother Randall Douglas Joines (Candy), and his loving sisters Teresa Diane Brunker and Mary Elizabeth Richardson (Terry). Michael was also a proud uncle to his nephews Adam Lee Richardson(Sami) and Keeton Scott Brunker, and to his nieces Brandi Leigh Langdon (Jimmy) and Kasie Diane Brunker. He leaves behind a multitude of beloved family members and friends who will miss his infectious energy and warm spirit.
Michael was known for his ability to light up a room. His creativity knew no bounds, as he had a profound passion for making everyday items beautiful. He was a talented decorator, both indoors and outdoors, and had the honor of decorating several rooms for the renowned actress Ashley Judd. His spontaneous nature and zest for life inspired those around him to cherish every moment and find beauty in the ordinary. Michael truly lived each day to its fullest, reminding us all to embrace the present.
In this time of sorrow, we encourage those who knew Michael to remember him as the energetic, spontaneous person he was—one who could always put a smile on your face. His legacy of love, creativity, and joy will continue to inspire us.
Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit, laughter, and love will forever resonate in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Michael. You will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
