In Loving Memory of Nancy Lee Petty
Nancy Lee Petty, born July 11, 1954, passed away Monday morning, August 17, 2026.
Her life was a journey through hardship, perseverance, but always in God’s grace. Nancy experienced many difficult things early in life. Yet in her later years, the Lord saved her and revealed a new sense of hope and peace through Himself. One of the most beautiful parts of her journey was being recently baptized, an incredible outward show of her faith and her desire to follow Christ.
Nancy was a dear friend to many during her time in Tennessee and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of the children at her church. To them, she was like a church grandma, someone who encouraged them, and made them feel cared for. Her kindness and presence will be deeply missed. She also spent part of her life helping and serving members of the military, reflecting her caring heart and willingness to serve others.
Nancy is survived by her children, Lisa Michaelsen (Jordan) Nielsen Unger (Susie), and her sister Sandy Klammer, her grandchildren Mikayla Adolphs (Aaron), Emery Michaelsen, and Briella Unger, and great granddaughter, Ellie Adolphs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Audrey Crabtree, and siblings Donald, Richard, and Barbara.
Nancy’s story is one of God’s grace. Her life is a beautiful reminder that it is never too late to find hope, forgiveness, and new life in Christ. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
