Ronnie Luther Oakes, age 69 of Spencer, TN passed away June 22,2024 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro due to complications after illness.

He was a former correctional officer, factory worker, and retired waste management personnel.  He enjoyed  collecting, playing guitar, and riding his motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Luther Oakes; Mother, Billie Marie Cope Oakes; Sister, Patricia Ann Oakes and step daughter Kelsey Meagan Whittenburg.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Oakes; Children Melanie Renee Oakes, Randi Janel Oakes Seals, Ronnie Christopher Oakes, and stepdaughter Makayla Lynn VanWinkle, grand children; Charles Zane Wilmoth, Zachary Caine Wilmouth, Jaxson Carter Oakes, Arianna June VanWinkle, Lydia Adeline Grace VanWinkle, and Seth Gabriel Van Winkle; sister Treva Louise Allen, and many friends and family.
