Sammie L. Key, age 74, gained his heavenly wings peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022.  He was born 3/22/1948 in Murfreesboro, TN.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Sam H. and Alice Layhew Key, his brothers Larry and Donnie Key and his sisters Beverly Thomas, Linda Parsley, and Annette Key.

He is survived by his brothers David (Brenda)and Willie Key, and sisters Bonnie McCollum and Catherine Key. His children: Riley (Arlanders)Key Cole and Victor Key; grandchildren Brianna Smith, Jamin Eddings, Chandler Houchin, Brenden Key Victoria Key, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a father, a brother, and a grandfather.

He LOVED Nascar( especially Dale Earnhardt), going to his grandsons football and basketball games, fishing, playing the drums, playing pool with friends, country music, attending any event his children were in, and being with his grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with friends and family.
