Shirley Ann
Crenshaw
September 6, 1937 – May 29, 2025
Shirley Ann Crenshaw, a beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend, was called to her eternal rest on May 29, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 6, 1937, in Tennessee, she lived a life filled with love, creativity, and resilience, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Shirley's journey began in a warm and nurturing household as the Daughter of Andrew Richardson and Eunice York. Growing up in the Armorel, Arkansas area surrounded by family instilled in her a deep appreciation for relationships, which remained at the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Devoted Husband, Perry Crenshaw, her Sister, Norma Jean Oliver, and her Cherished Grandson, Solon Oliver Dobbs IV.
Shirley is survived by her Loving Daughter, Anna Reece (Stanley); her son, Solon Oliver Dobbs III (Renda); her Grandchildren, Lacie Dobbs and Ross Dobbs(Koreen); her Nephews, Michael Oliver and Kelly Oliver; her Niece, Teresa Bishop; Great-Grandchildren, Karina Dobbs, Ian Dobbs, Brody Dobbs, Solon Clayton, Adaline Dobbs, Sophie Prewett; step grand children, Brandon Reece and Amanda Reece (Juan) and many Dear Friends whose lives she enriched with her warmth and spirit.
A woman of many talents, Shirley found joy in quilting, crafting, and sewing—skills she generously shared with her Family and Friends. Her creative spirit was matched only by her love for her two cats, who were her faithful companions. She enjoyed attending church events at her local church in Milan, TN, where she fostered friendships and shared her faith with others.
Shirley derived immense happiness going fishing with her grandsons. Whether it was a quiet afternoon of crafting or lively holiday gatherings, her home was always filled with laughter and love. Her ability to make those around her feel special and valued will always be remembered.
In the words of those who loved her, Shirley Ann Crenshaw was a beacon of light in our lives. She taught us the importance of family, the beauty of creativity, and the strength of love. Though we mourn her passing, we will carry her spirit in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a family member's home at a date and time TBD.
