Steven Carl
Medley
December 9, 1967 – November 8, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Carl Medley, a unique and free-spirited soul, a loving father, and a cherished friend
Steve, age 55, departed this world on November 8th 2023, leaving behind a mosaic of memories that reflect both the challenges he faced and the love he shared.
Born on December 9th, 1967 to the late George Medley and Barbara Woodroof, Steve found solace in the care of his stepfather, Curtis Woodroof, all of which he now joins in eternal peace. Steve also joins his sisters, Debbie Johnson, Denise York, as well as his brother Kevin Woodroof in eternal peace. They all will now be together, and this family's beautiful bunch of angels in the sky.
A laid-back individual, Steve carved his own path, embracing many different walks of life that made him the distinctive character he was. Throughout his life, Steve faced his own battles, struggles that revealed the depth of his resilience and the profound love he held for those around him. Despite the shadows that cast their presence, Steve possessed a genuine love for everyone he encountered, a testament to the kind and compassionate soul that resided within.
In the tapestry of his life, Steve is survived by his three children, daughters Brittany, Kaitlyn, and son Cule. His love extended to his grandchildren, C.J. and Maleah, who were a source of both joy and inspiration to him just knowing they were part of him.
Steve is also survived by his sister Diane, with whom he shared a very close relationship with, and remains a pillar of strength for the family during this difficult time. Also survived by Steve is his sister Melissa, he truly did cherish the bond of family, and his memory lives on through his many nieces and nephews, each of whom he would hope knew held a special place in his heart.
Steve will be remembered not only for the challenges he laced but for the love he gave, the laughs he shared, and the unique spirit that defined him. In the face of adversity, he remained a beacon of resilience, and in his memory, we find both solace and a reminder of the complexities of human experience.
May Steve's soul find the peace that eluded him in life, and may his memory serve as a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and unwavering love in the face of life's challenges.
