Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Kay Rankin on July 31, 2024 in Smyrna, Tennessee. Tammy Kay Rankin was born on June 19, 1967 in East Liverpool, Ohio. Tammy attended Crestview High Shool where she was an honor student and  participated in the marching band as part of the flag team. She was a Mapleview Cemetery Coordinator and enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, Pintrest, and decorating. Tammy and husband Jeff met at Lake Mount Church of Christ during high school and where married August 16, 1986.  Jeff and Tammy have five children which she homeschooled until 2020.  In 2022 Tammy joined the Town of Smyrna staff and worked with Tammy Mitchell.

She is survived by Husband, Jeff Rankin; sons, Brad Rankin and Kevin Rankin; daughters, Kayla Bazile, Amber Rankin, Abbey Rankin; grandchildren, Ava Rankin, Nora Rankin, Archer Rankin, Rocky Bazile, Aurora Bazile; brothers, Tom Melhaney and Larry Mcelhaney; sisters Vicki Cosma, Marsha Green and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by father, Chester Ray Mcelhaney; mother, Mary Louise Allison; brother, Randy Mcelhaney.

Visitation will be at Smyrna Church of Christ, 112 Division St, Smyrna, TN 37167 from 10am to 12pm on Saturday August 10, 2024 followed by a Funeral Service from 12pm to 1pm, and Graveside will be at 1:30pm at Mapleview Cemetery, 411 Maple St, Smyrna, TN 37167.
