William (Bill) Milton Green, 88, of White House, Tennessee passed away on July 4, 2024.
Bill was born on February 5, 1936 to Milton Harris Green and Minerva Celestine Green in
Nashville, Tennessee.
Bill's childhood interests included drawing and painting where he demonstrated exceptional
talent that would be put to use in his future career. After Bill graduated from Isaac Litton High
School in 1954 he went on to pursue a career in commercial art.
While working at the Methodist Publishing House in Nashville, Tennessee Bill met Janet (Jan)
Maria Center and they were married on February 25, 1961. Together they had three children;
William Gavin, Derrick Harris and Krista Katherine. Bill and Jan were married for 41 years until
she entered her heavenly home in November of 2002. In 2004 Bill remarried to Kathy
Patterson.
In the mid-1970's Bill left the Methodist Publishing House to create his own commercial art
company known as Corporate Image Design where he had the honor of being the designer and
illustrator for the study aids in Thomas Nelson Publishers' Open Bible.
Bill was both a skilled artist and skilled craftsman who enjoyed portrait and landscape painting,
leather crafting and general carpentry.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Celestine, his wife Jan and his brother
Donnie. He is survived by his wife Kathy, brother Gerry, his children Gavin, Derrick and Krista
and his grandchildren Abby, Connor, Duncan, Elise, Jake, Calin, Molly and Brady.
No services will be held, only a private celebration of life followed by a scattering of ashes
